Why Neal

Why Port St. Lucie Homeowners Choose Neal Roofing

Local experience, top-tier workmanship, and responsive service.

City Paperwork, Handled

We prepare the City's roof permit application, which you and we both sign before a notary. We also line up the re-nailing and secondary water barrier sign-offs older homes need, and the Roof Decking Attachment form whenever decking gets replaced.

Tile Underlayment, Explained

On concrete tile, the layer under the tile usually wears out before the tile does, and that layer is what keeps the water out. We show you photos of what's under yours, then talk through the best system for your home before recommending anything.

Premium Systems, Real Warranties

Pick shingle, tile or metal based on your house, your HOA and how long you plan to stay. Warranties from 20 to 50 years, depending on the roofing system you choose.

What Local Experience Means on a Port St. Lucie Roof

City or County Permit

Most addresses here are permitted by the City of Port St. Lucie Building Department. Homes in unincorporated St. Lucie County, including the original PGA Village, go through the County's Building & Code Regulation Division instead. Near the city's edges, the line isn't always obvious from the street, which is exactly why we look it up. We confirm your parcel before we file a thing.

HOA Approvals

Tradition, St. Lucie West and the original PGA Village each run their own architectural review. Thinking about metal, or a new tile color? We'll pull together the product and color details for your application. Once the board signs off, we plan the work around your community's rules.

Why So Many Roofs Are Due Now

More than a third of the city's homes were built from 2000 to 2009. Then Hurricanes Frances and Jeanne both came ashore at the southern end of Hutchinson Island in September 2004, and many roofs replaced afterward are now about 20 years old. If your house came from that stretch, a free inspection will tell you where your roof stands.

What Treasure Coast homeowners say

Google review

I called Neal Roofing after seeing the electronic billboard. Rick came to our house in Palm City the very next day and gave us an excellent presentation. We signed up and got the process started. We are so very happy that we chose this company for our roof replacement. Everyone was thorough and professional in every phase of the job. Elian and his crew were very meticulous in all that they did. They arrived early and worked tirelessly to complete the installation. Conner was extremely helpful on the phone and kept the lines of communication open. Elian kept us up to date on the schedule during every step of the way and everything that he told us happened as he said. […] We highly recommend Neal Roofing to anyone considering a roof replacement.

FAQ's

Frequently Asked Questions

What Port St. Lucie homeowners ask before a new roof goes on.

Schedule FREE Estimate Call (561) 473-0192
Does the City of Port St. Lucie or St. Lucie County issue my roof permit?

Most addresses in Port St. Lucie are permitted by the City's Building Department. If your home is in unincorporated St. Lucie County, the County issues the permit. We confirm which one applies to your parcel before your job is scheduled.

My tile roof looks fine. Why would it need replacing?

On a concrete tile roof, the tiles often outlast the underlayment beneath them, and the underlayment is what keeps water out. We check what's under your tile and show you photos before recommending repair or replacement.

What does the City require before my new roof is installed?

The City's roof permit application is signed and notarized by both you and the contractor. On homes permitted before the Florida Building Code took effect in 2002, the deck is re-nailed and a secondary water barrier goes down, and the City checks that work by inspection or a signed affidavit before the roof is covered. Neal prepares the paperwork and schedules the inspections.
